Denver, Colorado – “Poker Night House” Overview
#TinyHouseNation takes on Denver, Colorado
This Saturday, Tiny House Nation ventured to Colorado to build a tiny 300 SQFT “Poker Night House” for poker fanatics — Michelle and Blake.
Like most tiny house inhabitants, Michelle and Blake want to save up money without having to sacrifice their lifestyle. Being outdoor enthusiasts, the tiny life living seemed to be the perfect fit for the couple. Also, the couple dreams of traveling internationally but saving as much as they can for now.
“We really want to travel. We want to live internationally at one point, so [we’re] really saving as much as we can to just make these things happen,” Michelle explained.
While the couple enjoys the outdoor life, they also enjoy hosting poker night parties with close friends. Johny found this out when he went through their belongings and found a poker set. When he questioned the couple about it, they explained they are poker game fanatics.
“We get friends together maybe once or twice a month and do house [poker] games,” Blake said.
So, in order to keep up with their poker night games, the couple requested that the tiny house nation crew allow enough space for their friends to come play poker in their tiny house.
Other items the couple can’t live without:
- Two separate eating spaces for their two dogs
- Two separate lofts
- Mason jar storage in the kitchen
We think this is one of the most stylish and functional Tiny House Nation projects we’ve seen to date! Take a look at the “Poker Night House” and let us know what your favorite part is. [we think the hideaway couch is pretty amazing!]
The Tiny House Nation episode “300 Sq. Ft. Poker Night House” aired on July 30, 2016 on FYI.
